I have previously mentioned the importance of waking up early, 530 if at all possible. While it is important to do so, it won’t do you any good if you don’t actually do anything during that time. Getting up early in the morning won’t do you any good if you don’t know how to have a productive morning. While you could simply copy the morning routine of a ‘productivity guru’ such as Youtuber Thomas Frank, that might not work. While Thomas is an extremely productive person, and I regularly watch his videos for tips and motivation, its best to not copy his routine 100%. This is because even though he has created a routine that works very well for him his habits might not work for you. I personally can’t copy his routine because unlike him, I don’t have a cat to feed. Frank however does provide very helpful guidelines for anyone that you can follow.
Guidelines on how to have a productive morning
Some of the ideas he has are great, such as setting a second alarm (might be troublesome for those living with others), making your own breakfast, and exercising in order to get your heart rate and mind going. I also like his idea of learning something new, although I disagree that it would have to be reading. Don’t get me wrong, reading is one of the best ways to do it, but sometimes listening to something while you do something else, such as listening to an ebook while you exercise or make and eat breakfast can be good. You could also listen to a something motivating like Peter Dinklage’s video here on how he moved his way up from almost nothing. Whatever you do, make sure its something you’re willing to commit to, and like Frank, be willing to change things up a little bit.
